Configure Outlook Express So That You can Send and View Attachments

Open Outlook Express, Click Tools/Options then click the Security Tab at the top. You will have a dialog window that looks like the one below. Remove the checkmark from the second box (where indicated) where text says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus." Outlook Express considers everything to be a potential virus, so it effectively prohibits you from receiving attachments. Click The Apply/OK buttons and you're done.

We caution you! Do not open attachment directly from email unless you are TOTALLY 100% sure that it came from someone that you know and you were expecting the attachment and you know what it is....AND YOU HAVE A GOOD AND UPDATED ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM INSTALLED! If you don't have a good, updated anti-virus installed or you're using an old outdated Norton/McAfee that came with your computer, you can download AVAST Anti-Virus free from here.

Howdy Partner!
