Find out why Internet Explorer loads so slowly

If Internet Explorer seems to be taking forever to load, it might not be Internet Explorer, it might be all those add-ons you have. Here’s how to tell.

Click on Tools / Manage Add-ons, check the Load Time in the right-hand column, you will be able to see which browser add-ons maybe slowing down Internet Explorer.

If you find an add-on is taking a very long time to load, then you’ve found the culprit. You can either decide the add-on is worth the wait or disable it.

So what if the same thing happens with Google Chrome? For the past week or so, when I launch Chrome, it takes roughly about 10 minutes to open Facebook. How do I get Chrome to load faster? Please help. Thanks for all the great info you share with us!

Disable extensions until you find the one causing Chrome to start slowly or click on the icon in the top right corner that looks like 3 horizontal bars and choose tools/task manager. You’ll see how much memory each extension is using — if one seems to be out of line with the others, try disabling that one.

Microsoft FixIt http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ is a great piece of, sorry many pieces of Fixit Solutions. You can also download and save ALL of the Fixit components to your USB – Flashdrive – Hard Drive – so you have these Fixes handy.
    These do work well.
