Knowledge Can Keep You Safe Online

Malware, Rasomware, Identity Theft and You

Believe us when we say, we subscribe to a few tech newsletters. And it irks us no end when a newsletter constantly tries to scare its readers with one scary article after another. We don’t want to scare you, we just want to inform you. If you’re a well-informed computer user, you’re going to be a whole lot safer than someone who subscribes to those “Scare of the Day” newsletters. One in particular is deep-end nutty 🙂 But we won’t mention the name. Just being nice, I tells you.

We found this InfoGraphic at www.staysafeonline.org . This is really great educational site. It was created by and is maintained by the Cyber Security Alliance.

Digressing… here is a very Informative InfoGraphic from Stay Safe Online… we think you’ll find it informative.

I was on several techie mailing lists. Some of them for years. They used to be very good, but most have gone the way of so many “used-to-be” good publications, programs, or whatever. Anyway, I unsubscribed from ALL of them a few years ago because I lost trust and got tires of the sensationalism…..except, of course, InfoAve,. Yours is the only one, that I’m aware of. that has kept up with the ever-changing state of affairs and remained level headed and honest in your assessments. warnings, and opinions.
I have just signed up for both of the newsletters offered at http://www.staysafeonline.org. I’m anxious to read what they say in the newsletter for parents. Maybe I can successfully share some worthwhile info with my grandkids.
