So what do you do if Google suddenly (as of two weeks ago) requires you to type in your password to one of two gmail accounts that are linked together? The accounts have been this way for 4 years (by mistake actually, but they worked so never bothered to unlink them). One account is accessed 4-5 times daily. The other (that now requires a manual typing of the password) is accessed on average every 3-4 days.
We would like to return to not having to manually type the password, but can’t find a way. Any tips???

I don’t know what you mean “linked together”. Explain?

As you wrote above: Those who have 2 or more Google accounts – you know ones you don’t use every day.
In 2010 I set up a gmail account for my boyfriend. Four years ago I needed a gmail account and not knowingly I created mine on the same computer. On his sign-in page it offered the option to “add an account” which I did. Since then, both our accounts are offered on the same sign in page and we just click on whichever account needs to be accessed. Gmail then loads the account without asking us to type our password. Two weeks ago it started asking for my boyfriend’s password each time he wants to access his account. Mine is fine. It automatically lets me access my email. He doesn’t access his account everyday. Perhaps once a week or so.
Hope I explained it clearly enough…

Darcy and I share two different google accounts. One of them is the main account Cloudeightdirect, the other is the account that we access sometimes via Cloudeight Direct. But if I sign or restart my computer, I have to sign in to the main account but I the added account has to be added and signed into again. I’m not sure why it didn’t work like that before. Only one account can be the main account. I don’t know the answer to your question since I’ve never seen 2 gmail account operate as you describe.

As near as I can tell, I do not have a way to connect by voice. I do not have a “smart” phone. Other than buying a “smart” phone, do you have any suggestions?

Hi… I’m not sure what this has to do with this article, Google accounts, or what you’re asking.

I am in the same boat. When we try to edit our information Google sends a SMS to my phone. I only have a land line & it does not get SMS messages so I cannot update my information either. Any suggestions?

If you have a Google account, you have Gmail. If you have Gmail, you have a Google account. Gmail is just one part of a Google account.
