Three Windows 11 Power Moves for You

1. The Multi-Copy “Superpower” (Clipboard History)

The Problem: You copy text #1, then copy text #2 before pasting, and text #1 is gone forever.

The Fix: Windows has a hidden memory bank for everything you copy!

How to use it: Press Windows Key + V.
What happens: A small menu pops up showing the last several items you copied (text, links, and even screenshots). Just click any item in the list to paste it!
First-time setup: If you haven’t used it before, Windows will show a single button that says Turn on. Click it once, and you’ll have supercharged copying power forever.

2. Type Without Typing (Voice Dictation)

Let’s say your fingers and hands are tired, or you just want to get your thoughts out faster than you can type.

Did you know that Windows 11 has a world-class, built-in speech-to-text engine that even adds punctuation automatically?

Click inside any text box (an email, Word document, or web form) and press Windows Key + H.
A little microphone icon appears and begins listening. Simply speak out loud, and Windows will type out your words live.
Bonus: Click the gear ⚙️ icon on the dictation bar and toggle on Auto-punctuation so it adds periods and commas as you talk!

3. Extract Text Right Out of Images (Snipping Tool OCR)

Let’s say that someone sends you a picture of a flyer, a scanned PDF, or a photo of a recipe, and you need to copy the text into an email.

Did you know that Windows 11 can read and copy text straight out of photos for you?

Press Windows Key + Shift + S to drag a box over any image or document on your screen.
Click the Snipping Tool notification that pops up in the bottom-right corner. At the top of the window, click the Text Actions icon (it looks like a square with lines inside).
Windows will highlight all the text inside the photo. Click “Copy all text,” and you can paste it right into any document or email.
