Are you color blind?

Are you color blind?

We are not sure if you can file this under “U” for Useful or “T” for Time-wasting…but we know one thing, we can file this under  “I” (or should that be ‘eye’?) for Interesting.

I’m not sure about EB, looking at her desktop, I swear she’s color blind. Anyone who thinks pink and green look good together needs to be checked. As for me, when I was young and first starting to dress myself for school, my step-mom used to say things to me like “that shirt does not go with those pants…I swear you are color blind”. She said it kindly and with a smile, but she always made me take off that lime green shirt when I wore my red pants. And by-the-way, I still dress myself, though I be old and decrepit.

Well, I’m not color blind, I tells ya! I took a test online and it says I’m normal…my color vision is normal, that is. EB refused to take the test, and if you saw her desktop you would understand why – it actually hurts my eyes.

Are you color blind? Well, are you? Do you think you’re not? Know you’re not? Don’t know? Don’t care? Whatever.

If you’d like to find out once and for all if you have normal color vision, we have a Web site for you. Unlike some of the other color blindness tests online, which have instructions so complicated and incomprehensible you wonder if they’re testing your heart, your patience or your eyes, this test is simple and straightforward – and you can do it without reading the instructions, however we would recommend that you do read them.

Here’s a brief, pictorial review of the color blindness test located here on the Enchroma web site. (I love that name – sounds so visionary!)

See? Look up! When I say it’s easy, I mean it’s easy!

I hope all of you can see the number in the circle. If you can’t you’re color blind and you don’t need the test!

Getting a little harder now, see?

Harder and harder? Or is is just hard for me…or you…or you?

Much to your amazement, you will now feast your eyeballs on the following verification that I, despite rumors to the contrary, am NOT color blind.

See? I am norman, I tells ya!

If you would like to test your color vision, waste time, or prove someone wrong, you’re welcome to scoot along over to the Enchroma web site and take the test to see how well your aging eyeballs perceive color.

Disclaimer:

We are not ophthalmologists, optometrists, MDs, DOs, PhDs, RSNs, RBCs, BSNs, RNs, LPNs, MBAs, ORBs, or anything meaningful. We are just plain old TCs and EBs and we do not claim that the color test referenced in this article is accurate, fair, or has anything to do at all with your color vision.  We do not claim it’s good for anything at all, not even for printing out and using it to line your birdcage.

Caution! Before using the color blindness test please note:

Side effects may include dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, heart palpitations, uncontrollable anger, leg or arm twitches, profuse sweating, swooning, bleeding gums, toenail fungus and indigestion. The most common side effect is eyestrain.  In other words, we do not claim that this eye test for colorblindness is even one little bit accurate or even has anything to do with your eyes or color.

We recommend that you see your ophthalmologist – even if only in black and white, (or if you don’t have insurance or the big bucks needed to see one of those, go to Walmart and see a discount optometrist) for a thorough color blindness check and, while you’re there, a vision check-up.

Heaven forbid we take away a dollar from a doctor!

Well, that was just a waste of time, that was. All I got out of it was a scam to buy a pair of glasses at $400. Not my cup of at all, atall.

Took the test–just had to “tell the world” I AM NORMAL! (at least in this category. 🙂 Thanks for the fun.

I must say, those special glasses are certainly way out of my price range so I’m glad I won’t be needing a pair.
