Connie wants to know how to disable InPrivate Browsing
I would like to know how to disable InPrivate Browsing. I have been reading about it but there just doesn’t seem to be a answer about how to turn it off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Our answer
Hi Connie. We’re going to make an assumption — you don’t say what browser you’re using, all we know is you are using Windows 7. We’re assuming you use Internet Explorer 9. There’s a long way and a short way to turn off InPrivate Browsing. We’re going to give you the short way — the easy way.

InPrivate Browsing in enabled on Internet Explorer 9 by default — and you’re right, there is no easy or obvious way to turn it off. Turning it off requires making changes to the registry so it’s important that before you do what we’re going to tell you to do, that you create a System Restore Point. On Windows 7 that’s very easy to do. Click your start button, right-click on “Computer”, select “Properties” and in the left-pane choose “System Protection”. In the System Protection dialog, click “Create (restore point)”.

Now when that’s done, do this: Download this registry script http://thundercloud.net/infoave/images/2012/disableinprivatebrowsing.zip  and save it to your desktop (it’s very small – less than a kb) Unzip it and right click on the disableinprivatebrowsing.reg file and choose Merge — then say OK to the warning. You may have to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

We hope this helps you.

I don’t know why she wants to turn it off. It supposedly keeps your browser sessions more private — but I highly doubt it.

If you believe that, I have a condo to sell you cheap — it’s on the ocean — in Nebraska.

I am thinking of turning mine off as well but before I do I would like to know if you (TC and Darcy) have yours on or off?
