How to Hide the Mouse Pointer While Typing

By | August 7, 2012

Have you ever noticed how distracting your mouse pointer can be, especially when you are typing? Don’t you wish there is a way for it to go away so you don’t have to stop every so often just to move the mouse? Here’s how to hide the mouse pointer to make it a little less distracting so you can continue typing with ease.

1. Click “Start” > “Control Panel”
2. Click “Mouse”.
3. Click “Pointer Options” tab.
4. Check “Hide pointer while typing” box under Visibility.

Works on Windows XP through Windows 7

Note Depending on versions of Operating System and a type of mouse, the process and result could be different.

This is a great tip & I thank you again! It’s nice of you to have a special price on Captain Optimizer, too. Do I Need to have it since I already have Reimage? I appreciate & value your advice always. You two are the only ones I trust!

Thank you for your hints. Very useful. It is nice to be rid of that little ‘mouse’ when typing. I trust you two and I am a newbie at this game. I trust no one else except my kids to help me out. Thanks again.
