iPad or Windows? PaperPlane Makes It Hard to Tell

We know a lot of you have iPads and almost all of you have Windows. What would you think if you could make Windows work like (sort of) like an iPad. Well, if you don’t have a touch screen the experience will not be as much “iPad-like” as those of you who have touch screens. If you have a touch screen laptop or desktop, you’ll get a real iPad-like experience.

Well, here, we’ll show you. iPad or Windows?

Yep! It’s Windows. Windows 10 in this case. The name of the program that makes this iPad-like change is called PaperPlane. And you don’t need Windows 10 to use it. The developer says that PaperPlane will work on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. To be honest, we only tested it on Windows 10 with a touch screen. Your experience may vary. The nice thing is you can turn PaperPlane off or on by double-clicking the desktop.

What about the developer? Let us tell you what he (or she) has to say:

Quick Access

A simple double-click on the original desktop will call the new desktop for you, with all the apps sequenced by frequency of use so that you can quickly access the ones you use most.

Easy Organize

With its folder grouping and multi-desktop feature, you can easily organize your apps, files, website URLs, or games in various folders or desktops any way you like.

Fully Customizable

PaperPlane gives you great freedom to customize your new desktop in a way that is just right for you. You can customize the icons, the layout, the background, the animation, and more.

It’s unlike us not to ramble on and on and on about something, but in this case you can see what PaperPlane does. And it’s highly configurable so you can add or remove icons from it, change the size and number of icons, change the number of row and the number of icons in each row, define borders and all that good stuff. See?

PaperPlane is completely free and the comes as a zip file. The installer contains no malware or PUPs (as of 22 March 2016).

OK well that’s it. Oh yes, forgot. You’ll need to know where to go to read more about PaperPlane and where you can download it. Sure thing. You can read more about and/or download PaperPlane from here, I tells ya!
