We’ve completely redesigned the Thundercloud.net index page. It’s the first complete redesign since 2007 and we hope you like it.
As most of you know, we’re more than just Cloudeight Stationery. We are Cloudeight Internet, and we offer computer repair services, computer tips and tricks newsletters, a forum, an interactive tips and tricks site, CalendarPal (Free), Zappit (Free), Smileycons and FolderMagic.
We will always offer free email stationery and all our stationery will be listed as usual at http://thundercloud.net/stationery/. We’ll be redesigning and modernizing that page too, in the very near future.
We hope you like our new main index page. We’d like your feedback too! Let us know what you think. Please visit http://thundercloud.net/ right now and tell us what you think!
I LOVE it. Nice job. Only comment I’d make is that the ad spaces in the center don’t deserve the same space you’ve given your own topics, and make the ads look too much like YOUR stuff. Are you able to make those two ad blocks maybe narrower than your large squares, just so people will see an abvious difference…even if it puts more white space around them. Just a thought.
I’m adding to me first comment so I’ll “reply” to the 1st comment for clarification.
Some hours have passed since my first visit, so I visited the new page again. The first time I went those 2 ads were color blocked very similar to the C8 material. This time there was plenty of white space in the ads that clearly distinguished them from your color blocks. Maybe the similar appearance was just a coincidence the first time. I know the ads keep changing and understand perfectly why you have them.
Again, you did a splendid job on the updated look.
That’s the kind of website I like. It doesn’t take much serching to find what you want. The adds, well if you two have put them there, then I know I can trust them. As you have always warned, I watch carefully for any additional checked items when I install freeware.
Great job!!
Nicely done, EB and TC! Everything is easy to find, and I love all the color.
It looks like a really nice and clean user interface. Sometimes change can be good!
I agree with Muriel. Driver Update ad is in the wrong place. Should be at the bottom or off to the side. Looks like you’re recommending the download and I can see people downloading it. Otherwise, it is a nice page. In keeping with Win 8. I like it.

I Like It!!! Good Job
Ads? What ads? I don’t see any ads when I got to the new index page. It’s just not Cloud Eight’s style. And I do like the looks of the new index page very much. Clean, simple and easy to use. Great job, but what else would one expect from the great folks at Cloud Eight.
Love it …. bright and cheery and sooo easy to navigate.
The new index looks great and so easy to navigate. The only thing I did not like was seeing the add for MyScrapNook add right beteewn the Thundercloud link squares. A little confusing for newbies. Otherwise great job and a new make over is good from time to time to keep up with the changing times.
Love the clean, easy-to-use new page. Great job! But I guess you just can’t make it simple enough for some people. The Cloudeight squares are BRIGHTLY AND SOLIDLY filled in–so it would be very hard to miss which squares were Cloudeight and which were not. Apparently people have forgotten that, as a rule, companies pay for the location or amount of space their ads occupy. Therefore, probably why you have 2 ads in the middle. People get over it; ads are everywhere–and you’d have to be blind to miss the Cloudeight squares on this new page! Think of it the ads as ‘training’ in finding (and avoiding) ads, okay?!!
Very nice!! I like it.
What ads are you talking about? I don’t see any.
Love it… Thinks it’s nice & bright…good show!
Oh! so you are trying to get us use to Win 8!? Good on ya, I don’t mind, but I certainly hate touch screen computers, besides making the screen dirty they are totally uncomfortable to use! Oh yes! Sorry I forgot what you were talking about, the brand new Thundercloud.net index page is live! I love all sorts of “Thundercloud” so long as I have an umbrella when out side. You guys usually get it right and you have won one again this time and you are always a great help to us computer DUFFINS!!!
I have the touchscreen for my Windows 8 and never use it, so for those shopping.. don’t spend the extra for it unless you are someone who loves touch screens. You don’t need it to use Windows 8; once you set up a start menu in Windows 8, it is almost identical to Windows 7. Anyone who says you need a touch screen has not used it.. they are “reading” it some place! On the metro screen view (the one with the big icons) a touch is kind of fun if you are reading USA today or something like that, but I find I am too lazy to lean forward that far and find the keyboard does a fine job at that as well.
I just visited your new page. Wonderful! I also downloaded the Zappit. I have never been a fan of safe mode, mainly because I don’t know how to use it, but I do see that that they are two choices to select. I am not advanced enought to use the advance option. I think that the next thing to do when I can, is to purchase some keys.
I really like your new page. It’s bright. The ads in the middle doesn’t take away from your squares. Both of you are great.
Far out! 🙂
Looks Wonderful, and Easy to Use! Great Work.
Way to go! I think it’s great….like everything else you do.
Oh, I like your new index page very much! I think that it is very user friendly and really enjoy the overall look!
Rating: Five stars EXCELLENT!!
Nice job, very clean and percise
I love the new site. So very easy to see just what we want without even searching. Well done.
