Windows 10 Photo Import Issue Will Be Patched Soon…Microsoft Promises

If you’ve been having trouble importing your photos from your digital camera in Windows 10 there’s a patch coming that will fix this issue – according to gHacks.

Microsoft says it will fix the photo import problem in the Windows 10 Photos app with an update on May 10, 2016. This coincides with the next Patch Tuesday update.

Many users have reported an issue with Photos app where the computer will not show the content of the camera’s SD or Micro SD card. Also reported – SATA-attached card readers are also not working with Windows 10 Photos app. There have been a huge number of complaints on Microsoft Support forum about this issue.

This only affects Windows 10 users who use the Windows 10 Photos app to import photos from their camera. You should be able to view the images on the SD card (or Micro SD card) using File Explorer and copy them from there.

You can also use other photo programs to import from your camera card or card reader.

We just wanted you to know that Microsoft is aware of the photo import issue with Windows 10 Photos app and will fix it with a patch due out on May 10.

    Just hopk up your camera Cable to your computer with windows 10, turn on your camera, select the pix you want to upload. Click on the blue bar on lower left corner and your pix are downloaded into your picture file… simple!!!
