Turn Off Microsoft Office Advertising in Windows 10<\/h1>\n

Windows 10 is — until July 29, 2016 — a free update for everyone who had Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1. That’s great and we think Windows 10 is an exceptional operating system — the best since Windows XP. But that does not mean Windows 10 does not have its annoyances. One of them, as it has recently come to our attention, is Windows 10’s Get Office notifications which try to get you to buy or upgrade Microsoft Office. If you already Microsoft Office 2016 installed, you get a reprieve from the Get Office notifications, everyone else will be reminded to “Get Office”.<\/p>\n

If you have no intention of upgrading or buying office or just don’t want to constantly be reminded to Get Office. we’re going to show you how to turn it off so you never see it again.<\/p>\n

To turn off Get Office notifications:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Press the Windows Key + i \u00a0to open Settings (or click Start —> Settings)<\/li>\n
  2. Click System<\/li>\n
  3. Click Notifications & actions<\/li>\n
  4. Scroll down until you see “Show notifications from these apps”<\/li>\n
  5. Find “Get Office” and turn it Off (see below)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Windows will not longer nag you to “Get Office”.<\/p>\n

    And.. while you’re there turn off other notifications you don’t want or don’t need.<\/p>\n
