What happens if she needs to reinstall Windows 10. Our answer During the first 30 days after you upgrade to Windows 10, you have the option to return to your previous operating system without losing anything.<\/p>\n Factory Reset, provided by your computer manufacturer will restore your computer to the exact condition it was in the day you purchase it. This would take your computer back to 8.1 – but with all the options you have with Windows 10, this would be your last choice.<\/p>\n We recommend that you make your own Windows 10 installation DVD. See this page to learn how<\/a>. Additionally, if you have had Windows 10 previously installed on your computer \u2013 you won\u2019t need a product key if you have to reinstall Windows from the DVD. Also, the DVD can come in handy to boot your computer with in case your computer won’t start. You can boot from the DVD and gain access to troubleshooting tools that can help you to fix computer problems.<\/p>\n Can you see your mouse pointer?<\/strong> I don’t want to sound old (EB is old too), but lately I’ve been moving my mouse around and I can’t see my darn mouse pointer. Most pages web pages have white or very light backgrounds, so why is my mouse pointer white? You’re no spring chicken either, Mr. Bill Gates! Just because all the geeks you hire are twenty-something does not mean you don’t have old codgers like me using Windows.<\/p>\n If you’re like me and you find it hard to locate your mouse pointer sometimes, we’re going to show you how to make your mouse pointer bigger and blacker so you can actually see it with moving it around to find it.<\/p>\n It’s so easy to do. \n<\/strong>I don\u2019t have an installation DVD for my laptop I bought a couple years ago. It had windows 8.1 on it and I upgraded to windows 10. what happens in this case?<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Hi Nancy. Windows 10 comes with several recovery options that won’t reinstall Windows 8.1 but will reinstall Windows 10. Windows 10 Reset offers you the option to remove all your programs and files, reinstall Windows, and start over. You also have the option to use Windows 10 Reset and keep your personal files. Whichever you choose, Windows 10 is reinstalled and you don’t need a DVD.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
