The U.S. Federal Government has mandated that high-speed Internet is \t\tessential to our economy and plans to increase access and broadband \t\tspeeds to 100 Mbps by 2020. Most of us living in the U.S. think we’re \t\tpretty cool and have the fastest and bestest. But alas, we’ve fallen \t\tbehind the last decade or so. Did you know that our average broadband \t\tInternet speeds rank 12th in the world? We’re behind Romania for \t\texample. Japan and Korea are much faster and so is most of Europe.<\/p>\n

So finally we’re going to get real “high-speed” Internet over here, \t\talthough by the time we do, EB and I will be too old to care. That being \t\tsaid, wouldn’t you like to know how fast your ISP is compared to others. \t\tTC put his ISP to the test and he didn’t fare too badly compared to \t\tother ISPs, although if he were in South Korea they’d laughing at his slow \t\tconnection.<\/p>\n

You can put your ISP to the test and find out how fast or slow your \t\tconnection is and how you compare to other ISPs and to TC’s speed too, \t\tbecause he’s publishing his results for all to see. Laugh if you will, \t\tit’s the best he can do!<\/p>\n

Test your ISP and your connection speed at \t\twww.speedtest.net<\/a> . There \t\tare other places to test your speed too, but Speedtest seems have the \t\tbest reputation for accuracy and reliability.<\/p>\n
