Windows Update always been a pain for Windows 7 users. It’s been a exercise in futility trying to fix it – we have published several possible fixes for the problem, including this one<\/span><\/a>. But nothing seems to work all the time for all users. We think it’s a bug in Windows 7 that Microsoft never successfully fixed.<\/p>\n Good old Microsoft has issued another “fix” for those of you using Windows 7 and who are having problems with Windows Update. \u00a0This update was released in March 2016, but we just became aware of it. It’s not going to be released as a Windows Update for Windows 7, so you have to download and install it.<\/p>\n This update contains some improvements to Windows Update Client in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, if you’re having problems with Windows Update and your using Windows 7, you should give this “fix” a try – it may work. If you’re not sure, press Windows Key + R, type MSINFO32 in the Run box and press Enter – they system type will be listed right next to “System type” on the page that open when you open MSINFO32.<\/p>\n Note to Windows 10 users: Don’t be tempted.
