We’re not \t\tbig on doohickeys hanging around on our desktop. But, you know, Apple \t\tMac has some nice features – some of which Microsoft “borrowed” for \t\tWindows 7. One was the concept of the “Dock” which is simply a more \t\tadvanced form of taskbar. You can move icons around it – you get little \t\tpreviews of open programs whose windows are minimized – lots of really \t\tgood reasons why the dock concept has caught on. With a taskbar you’re \t\tpretty much stuck with icons for running programs in the order that \t\tWindows puts them. But the dock lets you move them around and also lets \t\tyou see thumbnails of what’s running. So, it’s pretty cool but very \t\tdifficult to describe in words.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
