For instance, parts of program windows and dialogs may be cut off \u2013 so you can barely see (or not be able to see) the \u201cApply\u201d \u201cCancel\u201d \u201cOK\u201d or other important window controls or buttons. When you use that slider, you scale everything on the screen larger or smaller. If you\u2019re using a custom theme or icons, you may be in for other unpleasant surprises. Windows warns you in Control Panel Display dialog:<em> \u201c\u2026 you can set a custom scaling level (not recommended). Setting custom levels can lead to unexpected behavior on some displays.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So, if everything on your screen seems about right to you, but the text is too small,\u00a0 don\u2019t make everything on the screen larger; try making the text larger the right way.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how you do that.<\/p>\n<p>Right-click the Windows 10 Start button and choose \u201cControl Panel\u201d. In Control Panel, click on \u201cDisplay\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In Control Panel \u2014&gt; Display, you\u2019ll see \u201cChange only the text size\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/textsize.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve Tips &amp; Tricks\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/textsize1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve \" width=\"600\" height=\"314\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the item you want to for which you want change the size of the text (Title bars, Menus, Message boxes, Palette titles, Icons, Tooltips ) and use the drop-down arrow to change the font size for that item. If \u00a0you want to change all the listed items, you\u2019ll need to do them one at a time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/textsize2.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve Tips &amp; Tricks\" width=\"602\" height=\"219\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/textsize3.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve Tips &amp; Tricks\" width=\"467\" height=\"634\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can enlarge the text up to 24 pt. font, and even make it bold by ticking box next to \u201cBold\u201d. But you may not be happy. If you go crazy and choose very large, bold fonts you may not like what\u00a0 you see.
