If you have File History \u00a0backing up your files, you can use your File History backup to restore your personal files on your current computer or on new or different Windows 10 computer.<\/p>\n<p>On your current PC, you can restore files from File History backup on your external drive, this way:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Settings<\/li>\n<li>Update &amp; security<\/li>\n<li>Select \u00a0Backup<\/li>\n<li>Select More options<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the bottom of the window, and choose \u201cRestore files from a current backup&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also use Control Panel:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open Control Panel (Windows Key + X and click Control Panel)<\/li>\n<li>System and Security<\/li>\n<li>File History<\/li>\n<li>Restore personal files<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you have File History backups that were created on different Windows 10 computer, all you have to do is set up File History (Windows 10) on the new computer , then select the drive containing your File History backups from the other computer.
