Sticky Notes<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Sticky Notes app comes installed with Windows 7. It’s simpler \t\tand more useful than many of the sticky notes programs you’ve probably \t\tused before. You can start Windows 7 Sticky Notes\u00a0 by typing Notes \t\tin the search bar at the bottom of the \t\tstart menu.\u00a0 Create a note or reminder. Once your note is created, \t\tyou can right-click it to change its color; click the + sign on the \t\tnote title bar to add another note, or click a note \t\tand press ALT+4 to close the sticky note windows. Don’t worry – all of \t\tyour notes will be saved automatically. Windows 7 Sticky Notes program \t\tis one, cool little application that offers a variety of user options. \t\tIf you’re a fan of sticky notes, we’re betting you’ll find the Sticky \t\tNotes program in Windows 7 to be one the best you’ve ever used.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WordPad
\n<\/strong>Finally, Microsoft is beefing up its venerable old WordPad program. \t\tAs many of you know, by default WordPad saves documents in Rich Text \t\tFormat. And the new WordPad in Windows 7 saves in this format, by \t\tdefault, just as it has always done. But the new, improved WordPad is \t\tmuch better. When you browse the Save As Format list and you’ll see you \t\tcan also save files in the Office 2007 .docx or OpenDocument .odt \t\tformats. You can also open Word (.docx) and OpenDocument (.odt) files \t\twith WordPad. It’s about time Microsoft gave everyone a free, built-in \t\tprogram to open Word documents!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Desktop slideshow<\/strong>
\nWindows 7 comes with some really cool wallpapers. And you’ll probably \t\thave a few more you’d like to add to the mix too. But with all those \t\tcool wallpapers at your fingertips you might have a hard time deciding \t\twhich wallpaper to use. And then again, sometimes you just get tired of \t\tlooking at the same old wallpaper.<\/p>\n

Windows 7 allows you to show off all your wallpaper as a cool desktop \t\tslideshow. Here’s how you can do that in Windows 7:<\/p>\n

Right-click an empty part of the desktop, select Personalize \t\t–> Desktop Background, then hold down Ctrl as you click on the images \t\tyou want to appear in your desktop slideshow. Then all you have to do is choose how often you \t\twant the images to change (anywhere from once daily to every ten \t\tseconds). If you’d like the backgrounds to appear in a random order \t\tselect “Shuffle”.
