Yes, about junky forwards, forwards with everyone else\u2019s address showing up in the cc: field, etc.<\/p>\n<p>We started thinking that perhaps  \t\t\t\tmany people really don\u2019t know what good email etiquette is, so  \t\t\t\there are a few (there are more) rules of etiquette to guide  you.  \t\t\t\tWe\u2019re sure there are more; maybe you can think of some to  add.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EMAIL ETIQUETTE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not send messages without a  \t\t\t\t\tsubject line<\/li>\n<li>Do not send a 2nd email to  \t\t\t\t\tcomplain \u201cthe first\u201d was not  answered quick enough; keep in  \t\t\t\t\tmind some people are not on their  computers every day<\/li>\n<li>Do not click reply to an old  \t\t\t\t\tmessage and talk about something completely different from  \t\t\t\t\tthe subject line<\/li>\n<li>When responding to a message  \t\t\t\t\tleave the original message intact<\/li>\n<li>Do not include oversized  \t\t\t\t\tattachments in email; try to keep  them below 500 kb, or send  \t\t\t\t\tan email to the recipient and warn them  you have a large  \t\t\t\t\tfile ready to be sent<\/li>\n<li>Do not send exe files in email;  \t\t\t\t\tmany email services will block the email<\/li>\n<li>Never pass on warnings or other  \t\t\t\t\talerts by email that say \u201csend  to all your friends\u201d. The  \t\t\t\t\tmajority of them are hoaxes.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use \u201cSpam Challenge\u201d  \t\t\t\t\temails and expect people to prove  themselves, especially to  \t\t\t\t\ta company since most companies would not  be able to do this.  \t\t\t\t\tAnd, spammers could send these same mails and  fool people  \t\t\t\t\tinto \u201cproving\u201d they exist for nefarious reasons.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use \u201cvacation  \t\t\t\t\tresponders\u201d. Your close friends will know  if you are gone;  \t\t\t\t\teveryone else can wait until you get home. If  you really  \t\t\t\t\tneed to access email use a web mail account like Gmail  you  \t\t\t\t\tcan access from anywhere<\/li>\n<li>Do not use or expect others to  \t\t\t\t\tallow \u201cread receipts\u201d. If  someone wants you to know your  \t\t\t\t\tmail has been read, they will  respond to you .<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t send mails with cc\u2019s of  \t\t\t\t\tall your friends; be sure you use bcc.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t assume because you have a  \t\t\t\t\thigh-speed connection that  everyone else does too. There are  \t\t\t\t\tstill many people using dial-up.  Nothing is more irritating  \t\t\t\t\tto those folks than receiving an  embedded video they can\u2019t  \t\t\t\t\twatch, or a huge embedded image that  takes them fifteen or  \t\t\t\t\ttwenty minutes to download.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve had hundreds of readers send pet peeves.
