So we offer this as an alternative. Chrome\u2019s password manager does not have all the features a\u00a0 good password manager like LastPass, RoboForm and others\u2026 Password manager have more features, are more secure, and are not limited to one browser.<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a0 you use Chrome and you don\u2019t want to install a password manager, then at least use Chrome\u2019s built-in password manager.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome\u2019s password manager is not only better than nothing, it\u2019s a whole lot better than nothing. It will store your passwords and automatically fill in user names and passwords on sites which require you to log in.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to use it. Open Chrome. Click on the Chrome menu (click on the 3 vertical dots icon at the top right). then click Settings. In Settings scroll all the way to the bottom and click on \u201cShow advanced settings\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Under the heading \u201cPasswords and forms\u201d,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2018\/googpass0.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Internet &amp; Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"586\" height=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on \u201cManage passwords.\u201d Turn Google passwords on and turn Auto Sign-in on by moving the switches to the right. See the red arrows?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2018\/googpass1.png\" width=\"595\" height=\"220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also note, if you save your passwords in Chrome, and you have a Google account you can access your passwords from any device.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/8GRqvG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read this article<\/a>\u00a0to learn more.<\/p>\n<p>Now, whenever you visit a site that requires you to log in, Chrome will save your password and username for you. And the next time you visit that site, Chrome will automatically fill in the username and password for you.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome will store as many usernames\/passwords as you have.<\/p>\n<p>Another nice feature is that you can see what the password hiding under the dots is \u2013 just by clicking the \u201ceye\u201d icon. But for your security, when you click the eye icon, you\u2019ll need to type in your\u00a0<strong>Windows password<\/strong>\u00a0to see\u00a0 the password hiding under the dots. But it is a good alternative as long as your Windows user account is password protected.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Bonus tip: How to use Chrome\u2019s Password Generator<\/h2>\n<p>Let Chrome create and remember a strong password for your online accounts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cc\">\n<ol>\n<li>On your computer, open Chrome.<\/li>\n<li>Go to a website and sign up for an account.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click the password text box.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Generate password<\/strong>. If you don\u2019t see this option,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/answer\/185277\">sign in to Chrome<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll see a preview of the password. Confirm by clicking\u00a0<strong>Use a strong password generated by Chrome<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Finish signing up for your account.
