Take Ctrl of Your Computer!<\/span><\/h1>\n

We know you all want more Ctrl over your computer, right? Well, here\u00a0 are some Ctrl key shortcuts that will save you time and trouble.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+F<\/strong> = Find something on a page \u2013 in a browser, text editor, PDF editor, ebook, etc. To remember this easily, think F = FIND.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+P<\/strong> = Print the document you have open. Whether it\u2019s a web page, a Word doc, PDF file, text file, etc. Think P = PRINT.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+N<\/strong> = Opens\u00a0 new window in the program that\u2019s running. Think N = NEW.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+S<\/strong> = Saves the document you\u2019re working on. Think S = SAVE<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+H<\/strong> = Shows your browser\u2019s history. Think H = History<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+J<\/strong> = Shows a list of downloads in your browser. Think J= ?<\/strong> I give up! J=Downloads! Junk? Is your downloads folder full of junk?<\/span><\/p>\n

And let us not fail to mention:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+A <\/strong>= Select All<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+C <\/strong>= Copy<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl+V <\/strong>= Paste<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl + Z\u00a0<\/strong> = Undo<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl + Y<\/strong>\u00a0 = Redo<\/span><\/p>\n

When typing text in most word processors, highlight the text and use the following shortcuts:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ctrl + B<\/strong> = Bold<\/span>
\nCtrl + U<\/strong> = Underline<\/span>
\nCtrl + I<\/strong> = Italics<\/span>
\nCtrl + K<\/strong> = Create a hyperlink<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of these work on any version of Windows.
