\nChildren dream of Christmas morning;<\/span>
\nSanta Claus is on the way …<\/span>
\nAnd I, a father, watch it snowing,<\/span>
\nAnd drift back to another day<\/span><\/p>\n

When I, a child, watched in wonder<\/span>
\nAs Christmas filled the world with joy.<\/span>
\nI see myself, in faded shadows,<\/span>
\nLong ago, a little boy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The house is quiet, dark, and still,<\/span>
\nAnd I can\u2019t sleep although I\u2019m trying.<\/span>
\nThe children\u2019s dreams are filled with visions<\/span>
\nOf Santa Claus and reindeer flying.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the silence of this evening<\/span>
\nI watch the winter snowflakes fall;<\/span>
\nTime is such a precious gift\u2026<\/span>
\nBut love’s the greatest gift of all.<\/span><\/p>\n
