And one thing we&#8217;ve picked up on is that people often ask how to make things bigger &#8211; like the text in an email, or text on a web page, or desktop icons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Of course, as always in the world of Windows there are several ways to do things, and making things bigger is one of them. Today we&#8217;re going to show you how to make things bigger the easiest and quickest way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Did you know your CTRL key and mouse wheel are buddies? They are, and those two can can make things bigger instantly. Here are some examples.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">First example:\u00a0 A Word document opened in WordPad<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" width=\"567\" height=\"325\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can see the text above is not too small, but for this example, pretend it&#8217;s too small to see.\u00a0 We simply hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse wheel away from us (toward the computer screen) and voila!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This works with most word processors and email programs, so try it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Second example: A web page.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger2.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse wheel toward the computer screen and &#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger3.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And now&#8230; desktop icons. Want to make them bigger?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger5a.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Use the CTRL key and your mouse wheel to make them HUGE:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/bigger4.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">That&#8217;s a bit large right? But you get the idea. As you move the mouse wheel away from you, things get bigger incrementally, so when they&#8217;re as big as you want them,\u00a0 just stop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And conversely, you can make things smaller by holding down the CTRL key and moving the mouse wheel toward you (away from the screen).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So now you know how to make things bigger whenever you need to and then make them smaller again too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I guess you could say that now &#8212; you&#8217;re in CTRL!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bigger!
