Why would you do this? Because it makes it easy to access the folders\u00a0 you probably use most often (Documents, Pictures, Music, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">It\u2019s really easy to add selected folders to your Start menu in Windows 10. Here\u2019s how:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Right-click on the taskbar and choose \u201cTaskbar settings\u201d)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In &#8220;Taskbar settings&#8221; settings click on \u201cStart\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/taskbar-settings.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Now look down toward the bottom of the list on the right you will see \u201cChoose which folders appear on Start\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Now, all you have to do is flip ON the switches under the folders you want to appear on your Start menu. See?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2019\/taskbar-settings1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Above: You\u2019ll see some of the folders I\u2019ve chosen to show on my Start menu. Here\u2019s the entire list:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">File Explorer<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Settings<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Documents<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Downloads<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Music<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Pictures<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Videos<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Network<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Personal Folder (this is your User account folder)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">And when I got done turning those switches to \u201cOn\u201d this is what I now see along the left edge of my Windows 10 Start menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">From top to bottom the icons represent:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Network, Personal Folder (User folder), File Explorer, and Settings. If you&#8217;re not familiar with what the icons represent, just hover over them to reveal the name of the folder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2018\/startfolders2a.png\" width=\"65\" height=\"630\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">So now, if I want to open my pictures folder I can just click on the Start button and click on the Pictures folder icon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">It\u2019s easy to add select folders to your Start menu and it gives you a new way to navigate to your favorite or most often used folders.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Show selected folders on the Windows 10 Start menu Windows 10 makes it easy to choose and show selected folders on your Windows 10 Start Menu.
