Despite Warnings From Microsoft, You Don’t Have to Update to Version 1903 Yet<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

First, to find out what version or Windows 10 you’re running type WINVER in taskbar search and press Enger. If you’re running Windows 10 version 1803, you’ll be seeing messages from Microsoft urging you to update to the newest version of Windows (version 1903) or you won’t get security updates and other critical updates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is only partially true. Microsoft’s messages to update your computer are intentionally worded to make it seem like you’re almost out of time and if you don’t update now you will not be able to get important updates if you don’t install version 10, version 1903 right now.\u00a0 But the truth is this:<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re running Windows 10 version 1803, you have until November 12, 2019, to update to Windows 10 version 1903.\u00a0 That means you have plenty of time yet to update your computer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you’re running Windows 10 version 1809, you have until May 20, 2020, to update.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those running version 1803, update when you’re ready – there’s no reason to rush to update. Just make sure you do it by November 12, 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
