3 + 1 Equals 4 Great Browser Tips\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n We both use Chrome as our default browser. But we also use Edge and Firefox occasionally. And we’re slowly warming up to Edge Dev – but it is still a work in progress. If you use Chrome as your default browser \u2013 or even if you just use it occasionally \u2013 you\u2019ll find these three tips very useful. (Hint: These tips also work in Edge Dev.)<\/span><\/p>\n 1. Show recently viewed pages with a click<\/strong><\/span> 2. Drag-a-tab<\/strong><\/span> 3. Drag your downloads<\/strong><\/span> And remember. There’s a chance that one or more of these tips will work on other browsers too. So don’t be afraid to try them with Firefox, Opera, Edge or the aged IE.<\/span><\/p>\n And one more tip that works in almost all browsers.<\/span><\/p>\n 4. Going Home\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Most of you have a Web page you call your home page. Of course, we’re sure it’s http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/start\/<\/span><\/a> because you like us so much. Probably not though, but we can always hope. Anyway, when you’re surfing the Web and you want to return to your home page most of us click the “Home” icon on the browser’s toolbar. But, did you know you can get there faster without using the mouse at all?<\/span><\/p>\n You can and here’s how: When you’re browsing around the Web, no matter where you are, all you have to do is press the Alt + Home keys to return to your home (start) page. We told you! You can get home more quickly without a mouse. \nDid you know you can show a list of recently visited pages from the current tab? You can. All you have to do is right-click on the \u201cBack\u201d button and you\u2019ll see a list of recently visited pages. And as illogical as it sounds, this also works with the \u201cForward\u201d button too.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nDid you know that Chrome lets you detach a tab and open it in a new window? It does! All you have to do is drag the tab outside the active window. And you can also add it back to the original windows too. Just drag it back and drop it.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nWhen you download a program using Chrome, you will see it on Chrome\u2019s status bar (the bar along the bottom of the browser window). Did you know you can drag that download tab out of Chrome to your desktop or any folder on your computer? Also, you\u2019ll note at the far right edge of the download tab (which shows the file name) you\u2019ll see a little down-arrow. If you click that arrow you\u2019ll get options such as \u201cShow in folder\u201d. \u201cRun\u201d, \u201cAlways open files of this type\u201d and \u201cCancel\u201d..<\/span><\/p>\n
