So, if you haven&#8217;t taken a look at Windows 10 Emoji lately, you&#8217;re in for a surprise. For instance, did you know that the Windows 10 Emoji panel has some Character Map features? Did you know it has Kaomoji?\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t even know what that was, that&#8217;s how up-to-date I am about emoji.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can open the Windows 10 emoji panel by holding down the Windows key and tapping the . (period) key. That&#8217;s it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji0.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" width=\"337\" height=\"327\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">At the bottom of the emoji panel, you find different categories &#8211; to suit your mood&#8230; we hope.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">We chose &#8220;Symbols&#8221; above and as you can see you have symbols! Yay. And you also have some hearts in case your sweet on someone \ud83d\ude0f<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji2.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Moving right along, above we find &#8220;Celebrations and objects&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji3.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Something new. When you click the symbol on the right at the top. You end up with something that looks like it came right of Character Map. And you&#8217;re right. A lot of them did. Did you know these were hiding in here?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00bd\u2154\u2157\u215e\u00a9\u2117\u00ae\u2103\u0bf9\u20a9\u00a5<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji4.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And then as promised the thing I didn&#8217;t even know about Kaomoji. If you did, good on you. To me they&#8217;re new. I&#8217;ve seen them before but never knew they were in the Windows 10 emoji panel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">(\u2741\u00b4\u25e1`\u2741)(\u25cf&#8217;\u25e1&#8217;\u25cf)\u2570(*\u00b0\u25bd\u00b0*)\u256f^_^:-)(\u256f\u00b0\u25a1\u00b0\uff09\u256f\ufe35 \u253b\u2501\u253b(\u256f\u00b0\u25a1\u00b0\uff09\u256f\ufe35 \u253b\u2501\u253b<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">That looks like something Einstein would have written &#8211; but I don&#8217;t think Albert knew about Kaomoji.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">One more thing&#8230; if the emoji panel keeps closing each time you click on an emoji to use it in a document, email, social media site, etc. Do this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Type &#8220;Advanced Keyboard Settings&#8221; (no quotes please) in taskbar search. Click it when you see it appear in the search results. In Advanced Keyboard Settings, scroll down to the bottom and under &#8220;Emoji panel&#8221; tick the box next to &#8220;Don&#8217;t close the panel automatically after an emoji has been entered.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/emoji5.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips - Emoji\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Now go forth and use the emoji panel. The emoji panel is evolving.
