It&#8217;s so much like Chrome, if you like Chrome you&#8217;ll like the &#8220;New Edge&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/r3yjqdl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Blog<\/a>, the new Edge will replace the original Edge. You can get it now or you can wait for it to be delivered to you via Windows Update.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Chrome is my browser of choice &#8211; if you like Chrome, you&#8217;ll almost certainly like the new Edge. If you don&#8217;t like Google, and love Microsoft, here&#8217;s your chance to get a close relative of Chrome without getting near Google.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The new Edge is so much like Chrome that you can use Chrome extensions with it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">To enable Chrome extension support on the Chromium Edge browser, do this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">1. Open Microsoft Edge.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">2. Click the Settings and more (three-dotted) button in the top-right.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">3. Select the Extensions option. &#8230;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">4. Turn on the Allow extensions from other stores toggle switch. &#8230;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">5. Click the Allow button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">If you are using Windows 10 your current version of Edge will be replaced by the Chromium-based &#8220;new&#8221; Edge. You can download it now or wait until it&#8217;s installed via Windows Updates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">I think this it is a good decision by Microsoft to get rid of the old Edge and replace it with the Chromium-based Edge that is very similar to Google Chrome.
