They were added to Chrome last year (2019).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">What do Motion sensors do? Motions sensors gather data from the device&#8217;s motion, ambient light, and other sensors. When combined with a user&#8217;s browsing habits and other information that Websites and Web developers collect, motion sensor data can be used to identify unique patterns that connect users to their devices and allow them to be tracked and fingerprinted online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">We&#8217;re not sure how much tracking is going on via Motion sensor data, but it just seems like a wise idea to turn off Motion sensors completely. It&#8217;s easy to do- here&#8217;s how to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">You can turn off Chrome&#8217;s Motion sensors by typing chrome:\/\/settings\/content\/sensors in Chrome&#8217;s address bar and then press Enter.
