\nI have MacAfee in my PC now I was going to renew it but the price is very high, I intend to use AVG but after reading this now I have my doubts but I would like some input about AVG.<\/p>\n

\nAVG as well as most antivirus programs with names you’d \t\t\t\trecognize will protect your computer from viruses and malicious \t\t\t\tfiles. But many have an aggravation factor – McAfee and Norton \t\t\t\tbeing the leading aggravators. And now with the safe-site or \t\t\t\tsafe-surfing aspect many antivirus programs are even more \t\t\t\tannoying. How much aggravation are you willing to \t\t\t\tendure?<\/p>\n

The further away from its main mission an antivirus program gets (to protect your computer from real threats) the more aggravations a security program presents. You’ll receive more warnings for sure. But how many of those warnings will be legitimate?<\/p>\n

There is no correlation between what an antivirus costs and the \t\t\t\tprotection it provides. We recommend and we use Microsoft \t\t\t\tSecurity Essentials. It’s free, it protects our computers and \t\t\t\tit’s the least annoying antivirus we’ve ever used. As the years \t\t\t\troll by, we become less and less fans of Microsoft – but we have \t\t\t\tto give credit where credit is due.<\/p>\n

AVG, Avast, McAfee, Norton, Panda, Trend Micro, etc. will all \t\t\t\tprotect your computer from viruses and malicious files \t\t\t\tadequately. The aggravation factor is what we consider – and \t\t\t\tusing the least aggravating, least annoying, easy-on-resources \t\t\t\tantivirus we can find – one that protects our computers well – \t\t\t\tis what we use, and right now that’s MSE.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
