IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE EDITING THE REGISTRY, YOU CAN DOWNLOAD OUR REGISTRY FILES AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">OK, all set?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Type REG in the taskbar search and then click &#8220;Run as administrator&#8221; under &#8220;Registry Editor&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/reg.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" width=\"392\" height=\"390\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following key:<\/span><\/p>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced<\/span><\/pre>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Right-click on the <strong>Advanced<\/strong> key on the left pane, and then select <strong>New<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>DWORD (32-bit) Value<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Name the new DWORD as<strong> ShowSecondsInSystemClock\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Next, right-click on the new DWORD ShowSecondsInSystemClock and choose &#8220;Modify&#8221;&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds1aa.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">And change the value under &#8220;Value data&#8221; to 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds1a.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.\u00a0 Your Windows clock should now display hours, minutes, and seconds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds3a.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If sometime in the future you don&#8217;t want to show seconds on the Windows clock, open the Registry Editor and go back to the DWORD you created and change its value from 1 to 0.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">DON&#8217;T WANT TO MONKEY AROUND IN THE REGISTRY BUT STILL WANT YOUR WINDOWS CLOCK TO SHOW SECONDS?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/downloads\/public\/ShowSeconds.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download this zip file<\/a><\/span><\/strong> to your computer and then and unzip it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/seconds111.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 Tips\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">To show seconds on the Windows clock, right-click on the reg file named &#8220;ShowSeconds&#8221; and choose Merge from the menu. You can also double-click on the file called &#8220;ShowSeconds&#8221;. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You&#8217;ll get several warnings. If you trust us and you want your Windows clock to show seconds you&#8217;ll have to override the warnings by clicking &#8220;Run&#8221;, &#8220;Yes&#8221; and &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When you&#8217;re done, restart your computer.
