How much longer the Control Panel will be around is anyone&#8217;s guess. As of today, there are still some features of the Control Panel that have not been migrated to the Settings app. But it does seem likely the Control Panel will eventually be removed from Windows 10.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Settings app contains the following categories:\u00a0 System, Devices, Phone, Network &amp; Internet, Personalization, Apps, Accounts, Time &amp; language, Gaming, Ease of Access, Cortana, Privacy, Update &amp; security (and on some versions &#8220;Mixed reality&#8221;).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">All Settings categories have sub-pages. Most of these sub-pages are accessible directly using the ms-settings commands. you can <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/put-your-favorite-windows-10-settings-on-your-desktop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see a list of ms-settings commands here<\/a><\/span> and directly from Microsoft <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/uwp\/launch-resume\/launch-settings-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">How to Add a Cascading Settings Context Menu on the Windows 10 Desktop<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">If you want to add a cascading \u201cSettings\u201d context menu that you can open by right-clicking your Windows 10 desktop, we&#8217;ve made it simple for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/downloads\/public\/settings-menu.zip\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download this zip file<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Once you&#8217;ve downloaded file, unzip it, and right-click on the file named &#8220;settings-menu.reg&#8221; and choose &#8220;Merge&#8221;. (You can also double-click it.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"> You will get a warning reminding you that adding things to your registry can cause problems.
