{"id":20613,"date":"2020-12-30T08:35:02","date_gmt":"2020-12-30T13:35:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/?p=20613"},"modified":"2020-12-30T08:35:56","modified_gmt":"2020-12-30T13:35:56","slug":"how-to-easily-find-your-wireless-password-in-windows-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/how-to-easily-find-your-wireless-password-in-windows-10\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Easily Find Your Wireless Password in Windows 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 24pt;\">How to Easily Find Your Wireless Password in Windows 10<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It&#8217;s been a while since we covered recovering wireless network passwords, but since Christmas was last week, a lot of folks got a new computer, a new tablet, a smartphone, an Amazon Fire, a smart thermostat, a Roku player, a smart TV, or other internet-connected devices, and you&#8217;re going to need to know your WiFi network password.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And if you&#8217;re like most people, you set up your wireless network quite a while ago and you don&#8217;t remember your WiFi password.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you got a new tablet, smartphone, streaming video player, etc., or you just need to find your wireless password, we&#8217;re going to show you how the quick and easy way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Just follow these simple steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Press Windows Key + i to open Settings (or open Settings from your start menu). Click on &#8220;Network &amp; Internet&#8221;. In &#8220;Network &amp; Internet&#8221; settings, look on the right side and you&#8217;ll see the following options.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass0.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"299\" height=\"306\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Click on &#8220;Change adapter options&#8221; (see above). And you&#8217;ll see the &#8220;Network Connections&#8221; dialog appear (see below):<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass0a.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"545\" height=\"267\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Right-click on the WiFi network you normally connect to (see image above) and then click on Status in the drop-down menu (see image below) which appears:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"430\" height=\"359\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In the Wi-Fi Status dialog, click on the Wireless Properties button (see screenshot below):<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass2.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"424\" height=\"508\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In the Wireless Network Properties dialog, click on the Security tab at the top (see image below):<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass3.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"426\" height=\"553\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In the Wireless Network Properties Security dialog, tick the box next to &#8220;Show Characters&#8221; and your password will be shown to you unencrypted &#8211; in plain text.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone \" src=\"http:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2017\/find-network-pass4.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"436\" height=\"566\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
