Windows 10 lets you scan your hard drive(s) for errors while you use your computer \u2013 and it\u2019s easy to do. <\/span><\/p>\n Let’s scan your Windows drive (usually C:\\)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Open File Explorer (Windows Key + E). On the left pane under This PC, right-click on your C:\\ drive, click \u201cProperties\u201d. When the \u201cProperties\u201d dialog opens, click the \u201cTools\u201d tab, and then click the \u201cCheck\u201d button.<\/span><\/p>\n Once you click the \u201cCheck\u201d button, you\u2019ll see the following dialog appear. If you need to scan the drive for errors, it will tell you. If you don\u2019t (as below) it will tell you that also. Even if it says, \u201cYou don\u2019t need to scan this drive\u201d, you can still scan the drive if you want to.
