A Fix for Your Blurry Login Screen<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve had a lot of emails from people recently asking why the background picture on the Windows 10 Login screen is blurry. It’s intentionally blurry. It is called the \u201cAcrylic effect\u201d and it\u2019s supposed to make the login area easier to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

But many of you don\u2019t agree and find the blurred login screen background annoying because it looks like something\u2019s wrong with your PC, but it\u2019s just Windows trying to be cool.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s my login screen with the \u201cAcrylic effect\u201d \u2013 in other words, a blurry background picture.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019d like to turn off the acrylic effect and have a clear background picture on your login screen here\u2019s what you need to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.) Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and choose \u201cPersonalize\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.) Personalization settings will open. Click on \u201cColors\u201d in the menu on the left side.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.) Turn \u201cTransparency effects\u201d Off and close \u201cSettings\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

4.) To check your Login Screen, hold down the Windows key and tap the L key. Click the Lock screen and you\u2019ll see your Login screen. You\u2019ll see that the background picture on the Login screen is not blurred. No Acrylic effect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
