How do I fix \t\t\t\t\t\tthat? I appreciate all your great tips. I just wish I \t\t\t\t\t\tcould run these kind!<\/p>\n

\nWe know what you mean. We hate it when we’re trying to perform a task in Windows 7 \t\t\t\t\t\tor Vista that requires you to run a Windows program that \t\t\t\t\t\trequires you to use an elevated command prompt. If you \t\t\t\t\t\tdon’t run an elevated command prompt you get the message \t\t\t\t\t\tthat you “must be an administrator” to run it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here are two quick and easy ways to open an elevated command prompt \t\t\t\t\t\tin Windows Vista or Windows 7:Method \t\t\t\t\t\t#1 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To open \t\t\t\t\t\tan elevated command prompt,<\/p>\n

1.Press \t\t\t\t\t\tthe Window key
\n2. Type cmd; press Ctrl+Shift+Enter; and then hit ALT+C \t\t\t\t\t\tto confirm the elevation prompt.<\/p>\n

Method #2<\/span><\/p>\n

In the search bar at the \t\t\t\t\t\tbottom of the start menu, type COMMAND and press Enter. \t\t\t\t\t\tCommand prompt will appear at the top of the menu. Right \t\t\t\t\t\tclick it an choose “Run as administrator”.<\/p>\n

Here’s another tip. You can change the command prompt window’s background \t\t\t\t\t\tcolor and text color by typing f1 at the prompt. F1 will \t\t\t\t\t\tturn the background white and the text color dark blue. \t\t\t\t\t\tYou can use f4 if you prefer red text – or you can play \t\t\t\t\t\taround with the number after f to give you different \t\t\t\t\t\tcolors of text. For instance color f9 gives you a white \t\t\t\t\t\tbackground with medium blue text.
