After updating to Windows 10 version 21H1 (May 2021 Update) some users are reporting that Google Chrome crashes or won&#8217;t work at all after the update. On May 21, 2021, Google, on its Chrome page, acknowledged the problem with Chrome after updating Windows 10 to version 21H1 (May 2021 Update). Google has released an update and instructions to help users resolve the problems with Chrome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">If you&#8217;ve updated your Windows 10 PC to Windows 10 version 21H1, here&#8217;s the part of the relevant <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chrome\/thread\/110605125\/chrome-crashing-unable-to-access-anything-not-even-settings?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Chrome blog post<\/a> which will be of interest to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;On May 21, we began to receive reports that Chrome would crash unexpectedly for some Windows, Linux and Chrome OS users. After conducting an investigation, we&#8217;ve identified the root cause and have released an update which resolves the behavior. In order to receive the update to Chrome, please follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">For impacted Windows devices follow these steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">1. Quit any open Chrome windows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">2. Re-open Chrome. You will still see the broken behavior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">3. Keep Chrome open for about 5 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">4. After 5 minutes quit Chrome and then relaunch Chrome.
