Using the Windows 10 Start Menu to Uninstall Programs and Apps<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span>
\nSure, you can uninstall programs using Settings > Apps > Apps & features<\/a> or the Control Panel.\u00a0 But did you know that you can uninstall programs right from the Windows 10 Start menu?\u00a0 You can even uninstall most (but not all) Windows Store apps.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is quick and easy to do. But if you haven\u2019t done it before, there are a few things you need to know. For our example, we\u2019re going to uninstall AbleWord (not really \u2013 it\u2019s a great program). <\/span><\/p>\n

To uninstall a program, you may have to expand the folder or the Start menu item. As you can see AbleWord is one of those programs. So, to expand the folder, just click on the down arrow to the right of the program\u2019s name. See?<\/span><\/p>\n

After you\u2019ve expanded the folder, find the program and right-click on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

After you right-click the program\u2019s icon, you\u2019ll see a menu appear. Click \u201cUninstall\u201d from the menu\u2026and proceed.<\/span><\/p>\n

One more thing to remember. Not all programs on your Start menu need to be expanded, sometimes you can right-click on the item in the Start menu and you\u2019ll get the menu with Uninstall in it. For instance:<\/span><\/p>\n

Just right-click the name of the program and you\u2019ll get the uninstall menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: Revo Uninstaller, HiBit Uninstaller<\/a>, and Geek Uninstaller are all excellent uninstallers that can help you remove programs and almost all leftover traces of them.\u00a0 Also, Reg Organizer<\/a> has a great uninstaller included \u2013 along with many other useful Windows utilities and tools.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
