You&#8217;ll even get a color mixer to give you an unlimited palette to choose from plus an intensity slider, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Here&#8217;s how to do it&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1. Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and click \u201cNew\u201d &gt; \u201cShortcut\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2. Copy and paste the following into the \u201cType the location of the item\u201d box:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><code>explorer shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft. Personalization\\pageColorization<\/code><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">3. Click next and give your shortcut a name. You can type anything you want but it\u2019s best to type something descriptive that you\u2019ll remember. Something like Color-Appearance works for me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/control-color00.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 tips\" width=\"579\" height=\"435\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/control-color0.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 tips\" width=\"579\" height=\"435\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">4. Now go to your desktop and locate your new shortcut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/control-color1.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When you click the shortcut, you\u2019ll see the old Control Panel Color and Appearance applet where you can change Windows 10 or Windows 11 colors to any color you want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/control-color.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Colorize Windows 10 (above) or Colorize Windows 11 below<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2022\/colorize11.png\" alt=\"Colorize Windows 11 - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"578\" height=\"495\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As you work with the Color and Appearance Control Panel applet, you\u2019ll see the color of your taskbar and other items change as soon as you choose a color. You can even change the color intensity \u2013 or use the mixer to create your custom colors.\u00a0 Please note you can&#8217;t change the taskbar, start menu, window borders, etc. colors if you&#8217;re Windows is set to &#8220;Light&#8221;. You can change this setting in Settings &gt; Personalization &gt; Colors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Oh, and more thing\u2026 if you right-click on the desktop shortcut you just created, you\u2019ll see an option to \u201cPin to Start\u201d.
