The first option is for those who want to upgrade to Windows 11 or reinstall Windows 11.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The second option is for those who want to create a Windows 11 installation USB or DVD.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2022\/win11media.png\" alt=\"Windows 11 Download Options - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"600\" height=\"407\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">How to upgrade your computer to Windows 11 using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you use the first option (the Windows 11 Installation Assistant) to upgrade your current Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, make sure your computer meets the requirements to run Windows 11.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Microsoft says to make sure your computer:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x-hidden-focus\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong class=\"x-hidden-focus\">Has a 64-bit CPU:<\/strong>\u00a0Windows 11 can only run on 64-bit CPUs. To see if your PC has one, go to Settings &gt; System &gt; About, or search \u201cSystem Information\u201d in Windows and look under \u201cSystem Type.\u201d<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x-hidden-focus\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Windows 11 Media Creation Tool creates installation media only for x64 processors. For ARM-based PCs, you should wait until you are notified through Windows Update that the upgrade is ready for your PC.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Meets system requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0Not all devices running Windows 10 are eligible to receive a Windows 11 upgrade. See the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/windows-11-specifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows 11 device specifications<\/a> for upgrade requirements and supported features. Certain features require additional hardware. We also recommend that you visit your PC\u2019s manufacturer&#8217;s website for information about updated drivers and hardware compatibility.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x-hidden-focus\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>WARNING:<\/strong> Installing Windows 11 media on a PC that does not meet the Windows 11 minimum system requirements is not recommended and may result in incompatibility issues. If you proceed with installing Windows 11 on a PC that does not meet the requirements, that PC will no longer be supported and won&#8217;t be entitled to receive updates. Damages to the PC due to lack of compatibility aren&#8217;t covered under the manufacturer&#8217;s warranty.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">How to create a Windows 11 Installation USB or DVD<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can create a Windows 11 installation USB or DVD by following the instructions on this page.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong class=\"x-hidden-focus\">Using the Media Creation Tool to create Windows 11 installation media:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Microsoft advises you to make sure you have:<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Sufficient data storage available on the computer, USB, or external drive you are downloading the .iso file to.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">A blank DVD disc with at least 8GB (and DVD burner) to create a bootable disc. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted during installation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you receive a \u201cdisc image file is too large\u201d message while attempting to burn a DVD bootable disc from an ISO file, consider using a higher capacity Dual Layer DVD.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>If you have all of the above ready, then download the Media Creation Tool (option number 2)&#8230;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">After downloading,\u00a0<strong>run the media creation tool<\/strong>. You need to be an administrator to run this tool. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">If you agree to the license terms, select\u202f<strong>Accept<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">On the\u202f&#8221;<strong>What do you want to do?&#8221;<\/strong>\u202fpage, select &#8220;<strong>Create\u202finstallation media for another PC&#8221;,<\/strong>\u00a0and then select\u202f<strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit) for Windows 11.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Select which media you want to use:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>USB flash drive:<\/strong>\u202fAttach a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>ISO file:<\/strong>\u202fSave an ISO file to your PC. This can be used to create a bootable DVD.
