But if you are using Windows 11, don&#8217;t run away. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/how-to-bring-back-the-windows-10-file-explorer-on-windows-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You can make Windows 11&#8217;s File Explorer<\/a><\/span> look and work just like Windows 10.<\/strong> After you do that, you&#8217;ll be able to use this tip in Windows 11 too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And let us point out also, we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/how-to-put-copy-to-move-to-on-your-windows-11-right-click-menu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">written many times about the lack of \u201cCopy to\u201d and \u201cMove to\u201d on the Windows 10 right-click menu<\/span>.<\/a> So we published a\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/once-again-its-time-to-put-copy-to-move-to-back-on-your-right-click-menu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">simple remedy<\/a><\/span> for that. There\u2019s nothing we know of that makes it easier or more convenient to copy or move files from one location to another in Windows 10 than having \u201cCopy to\u201d and \u201cMove to\u201d right there on the Windows right-click menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And while there is nothing easier than having \u201cCopy to\u201d and \u201cMove to\u201d on your right-click menu, there is another easy way to copy and move files from one location to another using nothing but Windows File Explorer. And if you\u2019re like most Windows 10 users, you\u2019ve never noticed it. That\u2019s understandable \u2013 it\u2019s not very obvious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Here\u2019s how to copy and move files using nothing but File Explorer on Windows 10<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Open File Explorer from your taskbar or just press Windows Key + E.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Open the folder where the files you want to move or copy are located. In this example, we\u2019ve chosen one of our backup folders called \u201cPictures\/Spotlight Wallpaper\u201d.\u00a0 We have selected some files \u2013 in this case, photos \u2013 that we are going to copy to another folder. The selected pictures are highlighted, and since we\u2019re using \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thundercloud.net\/infoave\/new\/windows-check-boxes-make-selecting-files-and-folders-a-snap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">checkboxes<\/a>\u201d you can see each item is checked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Once you select the files you want to copy or move, click \u201cHome\u201d on the menu at the top of File Explorer. That opens the \u201cHome ribbon\u201d where you\u2019ll find \u201cCopy to\u201d and \u201cMove to\u201d (see screenshot below). Click on \u201cCopy to\u201d or \u201cMove to\u201d depending on what operation you want to perform, then click on \u201cChoose location\u2026\u201d near the bottom of the File Explorer window.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/fe-copyto.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve Windows Tips\" width=\"571\" height=\"660\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2022\/fewin11.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight InfoAve Windows Tips\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As soon as you click on \u201cChoose location\u201d, a window will open so that you can select the destination folder or location.
