But many times, the Windows tips we write and the ones you see online assume you can \u201csee\u2019 hidden files, folders, and drives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Some files and folders in Windows are automatically marked as hidden because Windows doesn\u2019t want you messing around with them. But, leaving them hidden hinders your ability to make changes that can enhance your Windows experience. As we\u2019ve mentioned, many tips and tricks you find online assume you can view hidden files.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">For example,\u00a0 if you need to access the AppData folder in your users\u2019 directory, you&#8217;ll need to unhide hidden files, folders, and drives. And we think it&#8217;s a good idea that you be able to see all files, folders, and drives on your computer, and here\u2019s an easy way to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Windows 10<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1.) Open File Explorer (Windows key + E is a great shortcut).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2.) Click on the \u201cView\u201d tab at the top.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">3.)
