(period key) or the Windows key and the ; (semi-colon) key. Your choice.<\/span><\/p>\n Once the Emoji pad opens, click the Symbols icon at the top.<\/span><\/p>\n You can choose symbols from seven different categories.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n General punctuation symbols<\/span> You can change categories by using the slider located at the right edge of the Emoji pad.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The category you are in is shown by a small underline… see?<\/span><\/p>\n How to use the symbols in an email or a document<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n To use any of the symbols in an email, document,\u00a0 text,\u00a0 or PDF file, place your cursor at the location in your email or document where you want to add the special character and open the Emoji pad (Windows key +\u00a0 the period or semi-colon key). Then find the character you want to use, then click it.
