That means you can go back to Windows 10 without losing your files, programs, or settings. It\u2019s a painless and easy procedure But there is a catch \u2013 you only have 10 days to do it after Windows 11 was installed to do it. After that, it becomes a whole lot more complicated to get rid of Windows 11 and go back to Windows 10.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, if you\u2019ve updated to Windows 11 and you\u2019re now wishing you hadn\u2019t, here\u2019s how to go back to Windows 10 without losing anything.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Right-click the start button and choose \u201cSettings\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">1.) Open Settings &gt; Recovery (Tip: You can open settings using the Windows Key + i shortcut.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">2.) In Recovery Options &gt; Previous Version of Windows, click \u201cGo back\u201d (If it\u2019s grayed out or not available, you can\u2019t use this method to go back to Windows 10.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2022\/goback1.png\" alt=\"Go back to Windows 10 - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"599\" height=\"369\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">NOTE: If you see the following and \u201cGo back\u201d is grayed out, you\u2019ve waited too long and you won\u2019t be able to seamlessly go back to Windows 10. Woe, woe, woe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2022\/goback2.png\" alt=\"Go back to Windows 10 - Cloudeight InfoAve\" width=\"599\" height=\"369\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Microsoft will then ask you why you want to uninstall Windows 11 and if you want to check for updates to Widnows 11 instead of going back to Windows 10.\u00a0 Click \u201cNo, thanks\u201d to continue to go back to Windows 10. Follow the on-screen prompts then click \u201cGo back to earlier build\u201d to begin the process of rolling back to Windows 10.\u00a0 This will take a while, so be patient. Once the rollback has been completed, you\u2019ll be back to Windows 10 with all your files, settings, and apps\/programs intact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">And remember, Windows 10 will be supported until October 14, 2025 \u2013 so you have plenty of time to safely use it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Bonus Tips:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Want to see how much time you have remaining before it&#8217;s too late to go back to Windows 10? Type CMD in the taskbar search, then click &#8220;Run as administrator&#8221;. Enter the following command and press Enter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #999999;\">DISM \/Online \/Get-OSUninstallWindow<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Want to increase the number of days you have to roll back?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">You can change the number of days you have to roll back to a previous version of Windows from 2 days to a maximum of 60 days.\u00a0 Type CMD in the taskbar search, then click &#8220;Run as administrator&#8221;.
