In Windows 10, and to a greater extent in Windows 11, many control panel items have been moved to the Settings app. These include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Display settings
\n<\/span>Fonts
\nSound settings<\/span>
\nPower options<\/span>
\nStorage settings<\/span>
\nNetwork settings<\/span>
\nPersonalization settings<\/span>
\nAccounts settings<\/span>
\nEase of Access settings<\/span>
\nTime & Language settings<\/span>
\nPrivacy settings<\/span>
\nUpdate & Security settings<\/span><\/p>\n

And coming soon via a Windows update for Windows 11, “Programs and Features” will be moved to “Settings > Apps > Installed apps”. And instead of going to Control Panel to remove programs, you’ll go to “Settings > Apps > Installed apps” to uninstall programs\/apps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note that not all Control Panel items have been moved to the Settings app in Windows 10 and\/or Windows 11. Many are still available in the Control Panel and some are in both places, at least for the time being.<\/span><\/p>\n

Microsoft will eventually remove the Control Panel from Windows – but when<\/strong><\/em><\/span> is the big question. And remember, when you click on some items in the Control Panel, you’ll be redirected to the Settings app.<\/span><\/p>\n
