For Windows 10 and Windows 11<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1\u00a0\u2014 Copying the content of a Windows dialog box.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Do you want to copy the contents of a Windows dialog box? Just click anywhere inside the box, press Ctrl + C, open Notepad, and press Ctrl+V.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 \u00a0\u2014 Navigate to your \u201chome\u201d folder in Windows<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Windows 10 and Windows 11 your home folder is the default folder for your username which contains folders like \u201cPictures\u201d, \u201cMusic\u201d, \u201cDocuments\u201d etc. Would you like to get to your \u201chome folder\u201d fast? OK!<\/span><\/p>\n

Press the Windows Key + R and type \u201c.\u201d in the Run dialog and press Enter. That\u2019s quotation mark, period, quotation mark \u2013 just to make it clear. This takes you right to your home folder \u2013 just like that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Press the Windows Key + R<\/span><\/p>\n

In the run dialog type MSINFO32<\/span><\/p>\n

Press Enter.<\/span><\/p>\n

There you go… everything you ever wanted to know and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

4 — Find out the date Windows was installed.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Type CMD in the taskbar search and then press Enter to open the Command Prompt.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the prompt type:<\/span><\/p>\n

systeminfo | find \/i \u201cOriginal\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Press Enter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Above: Windows 11 was originally installed on this computer on 5\/16\/2022 or for those of you in other parts of the world on 16 MAY 2022.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Please note:<\/strong> If you reinstalled Windows, then this will show you the date you reinstalled it, not the original date Windows was installed on your PC. But it\u2019s still a great way to see how \u201cold\u201d your current Windows installation is.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 — A quick way to see all the programs starting with Windows.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Press the Windows key + R. <\/span>
\n2. In the Run box type WMIC<\/strong> and press Enter<\/span>
\n3. In the Command prompt which opens you’ll see wmic:root\\cli><\/strong><\/span>
\n4. At the prompt type startup<\/strong> and press enter<\/span>
\n5. If you did all that correctly, you\u2019ll see a list of programs that start with Windows (shown below)…<\/span><\/p>\n
