Score!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Here\u2019s the Telly link if you\u2019re interested, but before you sign up, there\u2019s the catch: The TV may be free, but you\u2019ll still be paying for it, signing yourself up for an advertising scheme that takes data collection to new heights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Should you enter the Telly-verse, your television will show non-stop ads, no-doubt specifically geared to you, on its lower screen whenever you watch anything\u2014and Telly also plans to run commercials on both screens when the TV isn\u2019t even being watched. \u201cWhen the Theatre display (top screen) is not in use, the ad unit could come to life in a fun way connecting both,\u201d Telly founder Ilya Pozin explained in a statement. And that puts your accounts at risk of being taken over by hackers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The reason for this is that after a company suffers a data breach, the account credentials of its users may be stolen as well. You\u2019ll need to provide a Gmail address, and agree that whatever prompts you provide may be reviewed by human members of Google\u2019s team, though anonymized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Google quietly announced the opening of MusicLM at its Google I\/O developer conference, where it also announced a service to protect your email from the dark web, as well as AI improvements to search\u2014which seem to have failed spectacularly, at least initially.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Like our best AI art generators, MusicLM begins with a text prompt: You define the piece of music you want Google to come up with: \u201ca drum and bass funeral dirge,\u201d for example, or \u201ca soft melody, with strings, about walking through a spring meadow.\u201d MusicLM will then generate a music sample trying to match what you provided, about 20 seconds long.
