It’s Three Tips Tuesday and time for more quick and easy Windows tips. Today’s tips focus on your browser. All of these tips work in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. And if you use an alternate browser you’ll probably find they work in whatever browser you use.<\/span><\/p>\n 1 > Show recently viewed pages with a click<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Did you know you can show a list of recently visited pages from the current tab? You can. All you have to do is right-click the \u201cBack\u201d button to see a list of recently visited pages. And as illogical as it sounds, this also works with the \u201cForward\u201d button too. This works in Edge & Firefox too!<\/span><\/p>\n 2 > Drag-a-tab<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Did you know that Chrome lets you detach a tab and open it in a new window? It does! All you have to do is drag the tab outside the active window. And you can also add it back to the original windows too. Just drag it back and drop it. You can also rearrange the order of the open tabs on Chrome. You can also drag tabs around to rearrange the order in which they are displayed a the top of the browser. This works in Firefox and Edge as well.<\/span><\/p>\n 3 > Drag your downloads<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n When you download a program using Chrome, you will see it on Chrome\u2019s status bar (the bar at the bottom of the browser window). Did you know you can drag that download tab out of Chrome to your desktop or any folder on your computer? Also, you\u2019ll note at the far right edge of the download tab (which shows the file name) you\u2019ll see a little down-arrow. If you click that arrow you\u2019ll get options such as \u201cShow in folder\u201d. \u201cRun\u201d, \u201cAlways open files of this type\u201d and \u201cCancel\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n If you’re using Edge or Firefox, you can drag your downloads too. With your favorite browser open use the CTRL + J shortcut to show your downloads. Now, resize your browser window so that you can see your desktop. Right-click on the download you want to move and drag it to your desktop.
