Today&#8217;s tips are unrelated &#8211; but all of them are quick, easy, and useful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\">1 &gt;\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>The right way to create a taskbar shortcut for Gmail.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Open Gmail in the Google Chrome browser (yes you have to use Chrome for this tip). While your Gmail page is open, click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the browser \u2013&gt; hover over More Tools \u2013&gt; click Create Shortcut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thundercloud.net\/infoave\/images\/2020\/g-short.png\" alt=\"Cloudeight Windows 10 tips - Gmail Shortcut\" width=\"572\" height=\"548\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Tick the box next to &#8220;Open as window&#8221;. A Copy &amp; Paste tip<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">This tip works in any version of Windows, including Windows 11.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">How do you copy? Do you copy text and links from left to right or right to left? Did you know if you copy text from left to right, Windows automatically adds a space to the beginning of the first line when you paste what you copied?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">While that\u2019s not a problem most of the time, it can be if you are copying and pasting passwords, usernames, a line of computer code, a registry entry, etc. That space at the beginning of the first line can cause you big problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So, from now get in the habit of copying from right to left and avoid that extra space at the beginning of the first line that Windows adds automatically.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Copy that?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>3 &gt; Lock Your Computer in a Jiffy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">To hide your desktop or lock your computer in a jiffy use the Windows Key + L shortcut. To unlock your computer, you\u2019ll need to type in your password or PIN to log back into your computer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Go ahead and try it now.
